Reflection

After working on all of these projects this quarter, I've found myself pondering how to incorporate all of this technology across my future curriculums and in each subject organically and with purpose. It is important to me that I use technology effectively in the classroom because it can be be a great tool to assist students in their work and help them learn. However, when it is simply implemented with no purpose it can become a distraction or hinderance, particularly if students and teachers are not properly trained on how to use it. In the ever-changing world of technology, it can be easy to lose sight of this when the latest and greatest device or software is released seemingly every week.

I feel particularly excited to use projects, such as podcasting, moviemaking, or even coding. Projects where students are asked to use creative and collaborative thinking to create content for an audience. I feel this type of project can really allow students to express their learning in a different way and also allow for creative expression, which can't be found in traditional testing. Also, I feel that endeavors such as these are a great way for students to learn how to create for an audience, which is an important skill across subjects and disciplines.
